Golden State led by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter, but an 18-4 Detroit run capped off by back-to-back 3-pointers from Charlie Villanueva and Prince pulled the Pistons within 98-95 with 1:08 left.

Following a pair of made free throws from Golden State's Jarrett Jack, the Pistons turned it over and were forced to foul Curry, who sank a pair from the line to put the Warriors up by seven. Brandon Knight's deep 3-ball rimmed out then rimmed out for Detroit, but Drummond grabbed the rebound and was fouled after making the putback that cut the lead to 102-97.

Drummond missed the free throw, but Villanueva grabbed the board and kicked it out to Knight, who missed a pair of 3-point attempts. Thompson finally grabbed the rebound for Golden State, and converted a pair from the charity stripe for the seven-point spread.

Stuckey then missed a try from 3-point range and the Warriors dribbled the remaining seconds off the clock.

Golden State led 21-20 after the first 12 minutes and took a 40-38 lead into the break. The Warriors went just 1-for-9 from 3-point range in the first half, but caused 11 Pistons' turnovers leading to eight points.
