Recap: Charlotte vs. Milwaukee

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Ramon Sessions scored 23 points off the bench to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 102-98 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.

Byron Mullens and Kemba Walker each scored 19 points and Michael Kidd- Gilchrist added 15 points for the Bobcats, who have won four of their last five games. Charlotte, which is 5-4 on the season, had just two wins through nine contests last season.

"Milwaukee is a great team, so it definitely gives us confidence and lets us know we can play with any team in this league," Walker said about the win. "We're a young team. We're growing, getting better every day and it's showing."

Monta Ellis dropped a game-high 31 points and Mike Dunleavy chipped in with 16 for the Bucks, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

The Bobcats trailed 92-81 with about seven minutes left, but used a 17-4 run to take a 98-96 lead with just two minutes to play.

A pair of Ellis free throws knotted it up at 98-98, but Walker answered back with a pair from the charity stripe on the next possession to retake a two- point lead.

Ellis missed a pair of 3-pointers on Milwaukee's next two possessions and the Bucks were forced to foul Sessions in the closing seconds, who gave Charlotte a 102-98 lead after converting on both free throws.

Jennings' three-point attempt as time expired drew iron and the Bobcats held on for the win.

"They made the plays and we had several silly fouls," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said. "We just weren't into the game tonight for the most part."

Sessions scored nine points in the fourth and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line in the period.

Charlotte took a 30-23 lead after one quarter. Walker poured in 10 in the frame on 4-of-4 shooting from the floor. The Bobcats shot a blistering 52.4 percent in the quarter while holding Bucks to a pedestrian 38.5 field-goal percentage.

Milwaukee was able to cut it to 55-54 at the break after outscoring the Bobcats 31-25 in the second, and took an 81-77 lead into the final quarter.

The Bucks got nine points from Dunleavy in the second and eight from Ellis in the third while shooting over 57 percent from the floor as a team over those 24 minutes.

Game Notes
