Recap: Atlanta vs. Golden State

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - David Lee led five Golden State players in double figures with 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Warriors thumped Atlanta, 115-93, Saturday at Philips Arena.

Carl Landry netted 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds, while Harrison Barnes also dropped in 19 on 8-of-14 shooting for the Warriors, who finished a seven-game road trip at 6-1. Stephen Curry poured in 18 points with 11 assists and eight rebounds, while Jarrett Jack finished with 13 points and eight assists in the triumph.

"It was important for us to bounce back and show everyone that we're in this for the long run," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "Our bench did a great job tonight."

Al Horford netted a team-high 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Hawks, who had a two-game winning streak stopped. Louis Williams added 16 points, while Ivan Johnson and Jeff Teague contributed 15 and 10, respectively, in the loss.

After a back-and-forth opening 12 minutes which included six ties and four lead changes, the game was all knotted at 26-26.

Golden State grabbed control in the second quarter, starting the frame with a 15-5 push capped by a 17-foot jumper from Lee that gave the Warriors a 42-31 advantage.

Johnson responded for the Hawks, as a slam by followed by 1-of-2 makes from the line cut the deficit to six with 5:11 to play in the half. But the Warriors would not give up the lead, and a deep trey by Jack made it a 60-47 game with 32.9 seconds on the clock.

A pair of free throws by Curry with five seconds to play in the first half gave the Warriors a comfortable 62-49 cushion at the break.

The Warriors continued to build on their double-digit margin in the third quarter. A corner trey out of the hands of Matt Barnes pushed the difference to 20 and an easy layup by Landry off a nice pass from Lee gave the visitors their largest lead of the night, 88-61. Golden State led 88-68 heading to the final quarter.

The Warriors' lead dipped below 20 only once in the fourth quarter as they cruised to victory.

"Going into this game, we felt it was vital to bring energy tonight," Hawks coach Larry Drew said. "For some reason, we just didn't have our legs early. We didn't have the energy I was hoping we would have."
