Recap: Orlando vs. Minnesota

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Glen Davis poured in a game-high 28 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 102-93 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

Davis scored 20 of those points in the second half and went 10-for-11 from the field over the final 24 minutes.

J.J. Redick had 18 points and seven assists off the bench and Nikola Vucevic notched a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards for the Magic, who have won three straight games for the first time this season. Arron Afflalo added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists in the win.

"I think that we are building confidence with each win. Confidence always breeds confidence," Afflalo said. "The better you play as a team, the more you believe in your ability as a team. I get the feeling that when we step on the court we expect to win, and this is how it should be."

Kevin Love led six Timberwolves players in double figures with 23 points and also pulled down 15 rebounds. Nikola Pekovic had 19 points and 12 rebounds while Andrei Kirilenko added 13 points and six assists for Minnesota, which had a four-game winning streak snapped.

"We just couldn't come through in the end," Love said. "When they get confidence, especially down the stretch of the game, it is hard to stop. It was definitely a tale of two halves."

Luke Ridnour had 11 points while J.J. Barea and Dante Cunningham each netted 10 in the setback.

The Wolves led 85-83 with 6 1/2 minutes left, but a Redick layup sparked an 11-2 run to put Orlando ahead 94-87. A short Love hook and a Kirilenko dunk cut the deficit to 94-91 with just under three minutes left. The Magic scored the next eight points for a 102-91 lead and a Barea layup accounted for the final margin.

Minnesota led 28-17 following a Love hook shot with just under three minutes to go in the first, but a 10-1 Orlando run pulled the Magic within 29-27 after the first 12 minutes.

The teams traded blows over the early parts of the second, but a small 7-2 burst from the Wolves made it a 41-35 game. The Magic countered with a 7-0 push to take their first lead since the 11:35 mark in the first, but Minnesota closed the half on a 20-7 run to go up 61-49 at the break.

Ridnour's 3-pointer with just over four minutes played in the third put the Wolves up 68-53, but Orlando used a 21-6 run to knot the game at 74. Cunningham, though, scored the final four points of the quarter to give Minnesota a 78-74 lead entering the final frame.

Game Notes

Orlando shot 53.7 percent (44-for-82) from the field and held the Wolves to just 40.6 percent (39-for-96) shooting ... Minnesota point guard Ricky Rubio didn't score, but had four assists in just under 16 1/2 minutes. Rubio will not play Tuesday in Miami to rest his surgically repaired knee.
