Recap: Memphis vs. Philadelphia

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Starting in place of Jason Richardson, Dorell Wright nailed five 3-pointers and finished with 28 points in the Philadelphia 76ers' 99-89 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Spencer Hawes registered 20 points and nine rebounds off the bench, while Jrue Holiday added 13 points and nine assists for Philadelphia, which snapped a six-game road losing streak.

"We shot the ball well, got to the free throw line and Dorell was tremendous," Sixers head coach Doug Collins said.

This was the second of an eight-game road trip for the Sixers, who lost the opener of their swing against the Brooklyn Nets.

Zach Randolph finished with 23 points, nine rebounds and four steals for the Grizzlies, who fell to 12-3 at home this season.

Marreese Speights split a pair of foul shots to pull the Grizzlies within 75-73 with 10:30 remaining in the fourth, but the Sixers responded with a 13-0 run to create some distance.

Royal Ivey nailed a pair of triples in the spurt, including the capper to make it 88-73 with 7:51 to play.

Memphis answered with a 7-0 spurt shortly after. Randolph poured in five points during the swing, including a three-point play to conclude it, which cut the deficit to 90-82 with 5:41 showing on the clock.

Marc Gasol's layup a bit later pulled the hosts within 91-84 with 4:04 to play, but Memphis never got any closer as Philadelphia countered with a 6-0 run.

"We just got to sure some things up. There is no need to panic at this time," Grizzlies forward Quincy Pondexter said. "I think we'll be just fine later on."

Earlier, Memphis led by as many as 10 in the opening frame before taking a 29-26 advantage into the second.

The Sixers, though, outscored the Grizzlies, 23-18, in the second and headed into the break with a 49-47 cushion. Philadelphia headed into the final stanza with a 75-70 spread.
