Recap: Utah vs. Golden State

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Stephen Curry scored a game-high 23 points and had seven assists to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 94-83 win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

David Lee had 18 points and nine rebounds, while Klay Thompson and Jarrett Jack added 15 points apiece for the Warriors, who have won nine of their last 12 games.

"It was a great team effort, we defended and held them to a season low with 83 points, and we paid attention to detail and played our pace," said Golden State head coach Mark Jackson.

Al Jefferson dropped in 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Paul Millsap chipped in with 14 points for the Jazz, who lost at home for just the third time this season.

Enes Kanter had 10 points while Derrick Favors, Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks each scored nine in the setback.

"It was tough. We didn't play our best. We just need to come to practice tomorrow and get better," Favors said.

Curry tallied 13 of his 23 in the first quarter to help Golden State take a 24-19 lead after the first 12 minutes. The Warriors went 3-for-3 from 3-point range while holding the Jazz to just 33.3 percent (8-for-24) shooting from the field.

Golden State went just 7-of-19 from the floor in the second, but converted on 4-of-6 3-point attempts, and held a 49-37 lead at the break.

The Warriors outscored Utah 26-21 in the third to take a comfortable 75-58 margin in the final frame.

Golden State's lead swelled to 22 points at 88-66 near the midway point of the fourth, but the Jazz came storming back with a 14-2 run to make it 90-80 with 1:22 to go.

The Warriors, though, stymied the Utah rally and the Jazz couldn't get closer than nine the rest of the way.

Game Notes

Golden State went 9-for-18 from 3-point range while holding the Jazz to 23.5 percent (4-for-17) from downtown ... The Warriors went 19-for-20 from the free throw line ... Utah guard Randy Foye finished with eight points after going 2- for-8 from behind the arc.
