Recap: San Antonio vs. Golden State

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tony Parker scored a game-high 25 points and Tim Duncan contributed a double-double as the San Antonio Spurs continued their domination of the Golden State Warriors with a 95-88 victory at AT&T Center on Friday.

Parker had a pair of clutch scores down the stretch and led the team with eight assists as well. In their 29th consecutive victory over the Warriors at home, Duncan poured in 24 points to go with 10 rebounds for the Spurs, who notched a 14th straight victory at home overall.

"They'd played very physical, they're a very good team," said Parker. "We had to fight hard tonight."

Tiago Splitter added 19 points and nine boards in the win.

The Warriors haven't won in San Antonio since 1997 and have dropped 16 in a row to the Spurs overall. Without Stephen Curry for a second consecutive game, Jarrett Jack started in his place and finished with 20 points and 10 assists.

"I was really happy about my team's energy and effort," said Warriors coach Mark Jackson. "We took care of the basketball, we competed, we lost to a very good team in their building. They made plays, they made tough shots, give them credit."

David Lee finished with 22 points, six rebounds and seven assists and Klay Thompson scored 21 for the struggling Warriors, who have lost five of their last six games.

Golden State led 47-46 at the half, but fell behind late in the third quarter and struggled to keep pace without their top scorer.

After falling behind by nine with 27 seconds left in the third, Jack pulled the Warriors within five, 78-73, with two scores in the final 15 seconds of the quarter.

With Duncan's score to start the fourth, the Spurs took a seven-point lead. Thompson helped bring Warriors even soon after, however, as he followed a triple from the wing with a pull-up jumper to knot the score at 82-82.

However, Golden State would make just one field goal over the next five-plus minutes.

Meanwhile, it was Parker that made big shots when his team needed it most. He sank a tough fadeaway from the corner to give the Spurs an 88-84 lead, then knifed through the lane for a bucket with just over two minutes left to extend the Spurs' edge to six.

Lee answered at the other end with a driving score, but Danny Green responded immediately with his third 3-pointer of the game to put a dagger in the Warriors for good.

In the first quarter, Carl Landry scored six straight points to cap a 10-0 Warriors' run near the end of the period, but Gary Neal's triple at the conclusion of the quarter cut the Spurs' deficit to 26-19.

Neal then tied the game up at 28-28 in the second when he followed a long triple with a running shot off the glass.

After Golden State bumped its lead back up to five on a Lee jumper, Splitter scored on a layup and then sank two free throws shortly after to cap a 12- point second quarter for the center. The Spurs would go into halftime trailing 47-46.

2014-15 Florida Panthers Preview

Luongo, who put up solid numbers in a 14-game run with Florida at the end of last season, returns to the fold after spending seven-plus seasons with the Vancouver Canucks. Prior to being shipped off to the Canucks in 2006, Luongo had spent the previous five seasons with the Panthers and none of those campaigns ended with a trip to the playoffs.
