Recap: Philadelphia vs. San Antonio

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Tim Duncan had 24 points and 17 rebounds in the San Antonio Spurs' 90-85 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Tony Parker added 20 points and eight assists, while Kawhi Leonard chipped in 16 points and seven boards for the Spurs, who have won two straight road games after losing nine of their previous 11 away from home.

Evan Turner tallied 18 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for Philadelphia, which has dropped seven of its last nine contests.

"I think what you saw was a team that's very experienced...and made big plays to beat us," Sixers head coach Doug Collins said of the Spurs.

The Sixers trailed by as many as 17 in the second quarter, but roared back as they used a 23-4 run that bridged the third and fourth frames to build a seven-point edge.

Turner and Nick Young had seven points apiece during the surge, which was capped when Young nailed a 3-pointer and tough step-back jumper on back-to- back trips down the floor for a 82-75 Philly lead with 5:40 on the clock.

San Antonio, though, clamped down defensively and ended the game on a 15-3 burst.

Leonard knotted the contest at 82-82 following his corner triple and Duncan nailed a turnaround jumper on San Antonio's ensuing possession for a two-point edge with 1:43 left.

After Parker got his jumper to go a bit later for an 86-83 margin with 1:03 to go, Jrue Holiday's cross-court pass was stolen by Danny Green and Parker sank two free throws with 20.2 ticks remaining to seal the outcome.

"We finally got stops at the other end," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. "We were fortunate to get the win."

The Spurs took a 25-17 cushion after a quarter of play and a 9-0 swing in the second gave San Antonio its largest lead at 43-26 with 4:02 to go until halftime.

San Antonio headed into the break with a 49-35 edge and were up 71-64 after three.

Game Notes

Philadelphia had a 48-36 points in the paint advantage ... Holiday finished with 15 points and eight assists ... Tiago Splitter had 10 points and 12 boards for the Spurs.
