Recap: Sacramento vs. San Antonio

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Tony Parker had 30 points and 11 assists as the San Antonio Spurs held off the Sacramento Kings, 108-102.

Danny Green added 21 points for the Spurs, who have won four in a row. Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili tallied 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Tim Duncan had nine points and 14 rebounds for San Antonio, which has won 16 of their last 17 games against the Kings. The Spurs have also won 10 straight at Sacramento.

"The first game back after the All-Star break is always tough," Parker said. "We're going to have some turnovers, some missed shots, and stuff like that. Overall, it's a big win because if you win on the road it's sweet. I'll take it."

Isaiah Thomas and Tyreke Evans ended with 22 and 20 points, respectively, for the Kings, who have lost three straight. Marcus Thornton donated 16 points.

Holding a 16-11 lead with 5:39 left in the first quarter, the Spurs went on a 7-0 spurt to create some distance. Parker made a pair of baskets around Ginobili's 3-pointer to make it 23-11.

San Antonio led by nine, 28-19, after 12 minutes of action, but the Kings got within three, 38-35, on Jimmer Fredette's 3-pointer midway through the second stanza.

The Spurs responded with a 10-2 run to take a 48-37 lead with 1:17 remaining. The visitors took a 50-41 margin into the locker room.

San Antonio led by as many as 14 in an evenly-played third quarter, which saw each team score 33 points. The Spurs took an 83-74 edge into the final period.

Marcus Thornton tried to make a late push for the Kings. His personal 8-0 run cut the gap to 103-100 with 55.9 seconds to play.

Ginobili came down with a key offensive rebound off Leonard's missed 3- pointer. Parker followed with a layup to give the Spurs a five-point lead with 19.7 seconds to go.

Thornton missed a 3-pointer on the ensuing Sacramento possession. Ginobili came down with the defensive rebound and followed that up with a 1-of-2 performance from the foul line.

Evans' layup and Leonard's slam accounted for the final margin.

"There wasn't a moral victory here, but I thought our guys did a great job against one of the best teams in the league," Kings coach Keith Smart said.
