Recap: San Antonio vs. Phoenix

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tony Parker scored 11 of his game-high 31 points in the final quarter to help the San Antonio Spurs to their eighth straight win, 108-99, over the Phoenix Suns.

Manu Ginobili added 20 points off the bench for the Spurs, who also received 13 points and eight rebounds from Tiago Splitter.

San Antonio, which was without future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan (knee) and coach Gregg Popovich (illness) for a third straight game, got 11 points from Boris Diaw and 10 from Stephen Jackson in its 16th straight home win.

The Spurs went 12-of-19 from the field in the final quarter.

Michael Beasley had 25 points and Jared Dudley scored 23 for the Suns, who have lost seven in a row on the road in this series.

Dudley's jumper gave the visitors an 88-86 lead with 9 1/2 minutes left, but Parker scored seven in a row during San Antonio's ensuing 10-0 push. Kawhi Leonard capped the spurt with a 3-pointer with 5:42 remaining.

"He is unbelievable," Ginobili said of Parker. "I cannot say he became a fourth quarter finisher this year because of how he played last year, especially in the first two months. But he is in that point of his career where he is so confident. He is doing so good that he can relax a little bit in the first half and then when we need him, he starts making those jumpers and takes over."

The Suns didn't get closer than seven points the rest of the way.

"Tony Parker knows how to take over a game," Beasley said. "He's been doing it for years. He did it again tonight. He just knows how to take over games."

The Spurs gave up the game's first six points, but had the game even at 26 after the first quarter. The hosts led by as many as seven in the second, but found themselves up only 59-56 at the half.

The see-saw battle continued in the third with the visitors up as many as five, but Ginobili's two free throws in the closing seconds made it 82-81 Suns going to the fourth.
