Recap: Oklahoma City vs. Washington

Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) - Russell Westbrook scored 21 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder stayed hot at Chesapeake Energy Arena by taking a 103-80 decision over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

Kevin Durant followed with 20 points, six boards and six assists for the Thunder, who have won three straight overall and nine of their last 10 games at home. Kevin Martin supplied 18 points in the victory.

"Shots are going to come around for me," Durant said. "Points are going to come around for me. It was balanced tonight. Who cares? We won the basketball game. I'm happy for our guys coming out and responding after us losing to them."

John Wall, who was coming off a career-best 47-point performance versus Memphis on Monday, finished with 18 points and 12 assists for Washington, but shot a mere 3-of-18 from the floor.

Garrett Temple and Kevin Seraphin added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Wizards, who shot 32.1 percent (27-of-84) and have now dropped two of three.

Serge Ibaka's deep jumper early in the third quarter capped an 11-4 swing which saw the Thunder expand their lead to 15 points.

Around the midway point of the third, Westbrook made 1-of-2 from the charity stripe to make it 73-56 and the Thunder comfortably held their edge by double- digits before heading into the fourth up 83-66.

Trevor Booker hit a jumper to close Washington's gap to 14 points with 8:35 to play, but the visitors struggled from there and were outscored 15-6 to close the game. The Wizards managed just 14 points and turned the ball over seven times in the decisive final quarter.

"It's not about your wins and losses," Washington coach Randy Wittman said. "It's about how you play. We went out tonight with eight guys and a lot of our key guys down and we battled."

Much of the Thunder's success all game long related to the team's ability to get to the foul line and make Washington pay. Westbrook shot 10-of-11 from the line, while Durant went 10-of-10 from the charity stripe. The team finished an impressive 37-of-41 from the line.

Oklahoma City led after one quarter 29-23 and expanded its lead to 10 around the midway point of the second quarter on a Durant triple. The Thunder led at the break 53-45, with Westbrook leading all players with 15 points.
