Recap: Golden State vs. Portland

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Stephen Curry poured in a game-high 39 points on 14-of-22 shooting to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 125-98 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.

Curry also went 7-for-12 from 3-point range and dished out six assists.

"It's amazing the clinic he is putting on," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said of Curry. "It's absolutely amazing. You see the shots go up and you are shocked when they miss. You hear the sighs from the fans and the eyes off the opponent and your own team and you look at the bench -- we are witnessing one of the greatest shooters that have ever played this game. And he's in the discussion with anybody that has ever played."

Carl Landry added a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds, and David Lee dropped in 13 points to go with eight boards for the Warriors, who hold a one-game lead over the Houston Rockets for sixth place in the Western Conference.

Rookie Meyers Leonard had his best game as a pro for the Blazers, pouring in a career-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds.

"I felt pretty good out there tonight," Leonard said. "My defense and my rebounding have got to get better. Offensively, I kind of got into a groove there late. I had a rough stretch during the third quarter where I struggled with my shot, but I've just got to keep my head up and continue to play with confidence."

Wesley Matthews added 18 points and J.J. Hickson scored 15 points to go with 10 boards in the setback.

Golden State led 36-31 after the first 12 minutes and took a 65-55 lead into the break.

The Blazers stayed within striking distance early in the third, trailing 76-67 at the midway point of the quarter, but the Warriors closed the frame on a 20-11 swing to go into the fourth leading 96-78.

Curry led the way for Golden State in the fourth, pouring in 10 points on 4- of-5 shooting just before the six-minute mark of the stanza to help the Warriors build a 110-87 lead.

The Warriors' lead grew as large as 28 over the final stages.
