Recap: Detroit vs. Atlanta

Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Greg Monroe recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, as the Detroit Pistons pounded the Atlanta Hawks, 104-88, on Friday in the preseason finale for both teams.

Brandon Knight also netted 16 points and Tayshaun Prince followed with 15 points for the Pistons, who open the regular season on Oct. 31 at home against the Houston Rockets.

Lou Williams poured in a game-high 17 points and Al Horford donated 10 points and grabbed six boards for Atlanta, which opens its regular-season campaign at home on Nov. 2 against the Rockets.

The Pistons led 28-20 after the first and never trailed the rest of the way, as they shot 51 percent from the field en route to the double-digit victory.
