Recap: Minnesota vs. Indiana

Fargo, ND (Sports Network) - Making his first appearance since coming out of a one-year retirement, Brandon Roy scored 13 points to help the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 84-70 win over the Indiana Pacers in NBA preseason action from the Fargo Dome.

Roy, who made three All-Star teams during a five-year tenure with the Portland Trail Blazers that ended due to knee problems after the 2010-11 season, hit on 5-of-9 field goal attempts in nearly 24 minutes.

Nikola Pekovic and Chase Budinger each finished with a team-best 14 points for Minnesota, which held a slim one-point edge early in the second quarter before embarking on a 16-3 run to take a commanding 38-24 lead with 6 1/2 minutes left in the first half.

The Timberwolves owned a 46-36 advantage at the break, with the Pacers never getting closer than eight points down the rest of the way.

Paul George topped Indiana, which shot just 34.8 percent from the field, with 16 points to go along with six rebounds.
