Recap: Sacramento vs. Portland

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Marcus Thornton scored a game-high 23 points and DeMarcus Cousins added 20 as the Sacramento Kings cruised past the Portland Trail Blazers, 117-100, in a preseason contest on Monday.

Aaron Brooks had 16 points while Tyreke Evans and Jimmer Fredette each added 11 points for the Kings, who aim to reach the postseason for the first time since the 2005-06 season.

Rookie Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 20 points. LaMarcus Aldridge had 16 points and seven rebounds, and Nicolas Batum chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds and a game-high five assists for Portland.
