Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - O.J. Mayo scored 13 points, while Jae Crowder and Rodrigue Beaubois chipped in 12 apiece as the Dallas Mavericks downed the New Orleans Hornets, 87-74, in preseason action.

Vince Carter added 11 points and seven rebounds for Dallas, which got eight points and 12 boards from Shawn Marion.

Robin Lopez netted 14 points and 11 rebounds and No. 1 draft choice Anthony Davis pulled down 17 boards in the loss for New Orleans.

Rookie Austin Rivers, who was scoreless on 0-for-5 shooting from the field, left the contest with a sprained left ankle. X-rays taken after the game were negative.
