Recap: Cleveland vs. Milwaukee

Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Tristan Thompson had 17 points, Kyrie Irving scored 14 and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 99-87 on Tuesday in the preseason opener for both teams.

Undrafted rookie Kenny Kadji added 15 points and C.J. Miles and Dion Waiters both scored 12.

Thompson scored eight of his 17 points in the first quarter as the Cavs built a 28-16 lead going into the second.

Stephen Graham scored 15 points to lead the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo, this year's No. 15 draft pick, had 14.

Brandon Knight, acquired by the Bucks from the Pistons as part of the Brandon Jennings deal, was 1 for 8 and scored four points. O.J. Mayo, signed as a free agent, had seven points.
