Recap: Miami vs. Golden State

Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Steph Curry and David Lee combined for 68 points in the Golden State Warriors' 123-114 win over the Miami Heat from American Airlines Arena.

Curry poured in a game-high 36 points with 12 assists while Lee totaled 32 points and 14 rebounds as the Warriors improved to 3-0 on their season-long seven-game road swing. They went 6-1 on a seven-game road trip last season.

Klay Thompson added 16 points and Harrison Barnes provided 15 points off the bench for Golden State, which has won seven in a row overall.

"Everybody pitched in," said Curry. "We knew it was going to take a complete 48-minute effort from every guy that stepped on the floor. Our energy was pretty high from the start."

All five Miami starters reached double figures, with LeBron James leading the way with 26 on 10-of-16 from the floor. Dwyane Wade chipped in 22, Chris Bosh had 19 and Mario Chalmers scored 17 with a team-high seven rebounds. Shane Battier made 3-of-4 from behind the arc for 11 points.

"They're a great basketball team with some all-time great players," said Warriors head coach Mark Jackson. "Tonight, we executed, we battled, we competed, we made shots and we defended at a high level."

Golden State recognized a mismatch down low right off the bat, scoring its first 13 points in the paint before Curry joined the party with a deep 3- pointer from the right wing on his first shot attempt.

Kent Bazemore capped off the highest scoring quarter against the Heat all season with a runner in the closing seconds. The Warriors shot 15-of-19 -- and 5-of-6 from the arc -- and led 38-33 after the first.

Early in the second quarter, Wade led a 2-on-1 fast break with Ray Allen, who turned back the clock with an emphatic one-hand jam plus a foul. Allen's ensuing free throw put the Heat in front, 42-39.

Golden State followed with an 8-0 run to regain control. The rest of the period featured short spurts from both teams, and the Warriors went into the break with a 65-61 edge.

Curry took over early in the third, scoring seven in a row after Lee's layup.

"There's nothing you can do," said Wade. "You contest it and hope he misses it."

Golden State led by double figures for most of the frame until Michael Beasley netted five straight for a 93-85 margin. The Warriors didn't flinch, however, with Marreese Speights drawing a charge on Beasley and knocking down a 16- footer to halt a brief Miami run and keep the hosts at arm's length.

James caught fire midway through the fourth to keep the home fans in their seats with back-to-back jumpers on the heels of a Wade 3-pointer to pull Miami within four points at 111-107.

It was 113-107 moments later when James turned it over then headed to the free throw line and missed a pair, leading to two Lee layups around a Curry corner 3. Lee's finger roll off a Bosh missed layup had the lead back to double digits, where it stayed until Chalmers' layup 29 ticks before the final buzzer capped Miami's third home loss of the season.
