Recap: Philadelphia vs. Boston

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeff Green netted 36 points to lead the Boston Celtics to a 114-108 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center.

Green hit 5-of-7 from distance and Jared Sullinger tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four blocks to help the Celtics to their first two- game winning streak since mid-December.

"Honestly, I've just been letting go of everything," said Sullinger, who recorded his third straight double-double. "My dad came and told me face-to- face, 'your body language sucks, and it looks like you don't really care.' He told me to get back to my old ways, and ever since I've done that, everything has been clicking for me."

Rajon Rondo flirted with a triple-double in the triumph, finishing with eight points, 11 assists and nine rebounds, while Brandon Bass poured in 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting.

Thaddeus Young led seven Sixers in double figures with 20 points, while Tony Wroten scored 18 off the bench. Spencer Hawes and Lavoy Allen each notched double-doubles, with Hawes donating 13 points and 14 rebounds and Allen contributing 10 and 10.

After trailing for most of the first half, Philly went in front at 4:34 of the second quarter on James Anderson's runner. Green then scored six during a 10-0 Boston flurry, and Sullinger's trey from Rondo in the final minute gave the C's a 56-47 halftime edge.

The Celtics threatened to run away with it late in the third quarter, with Green's 3-pointer giving them the largest lead of the night at 83-71. Wroten gave life to the Sixers heading into the fourth with his heave from beyond halfcourt as the buzzer sounded, making it 88-82.

Twice the Sixers got within three on Wroten free throws but Boston had an answer both times. Sullinger's 3-pointer at 8:16 of the fourth had Boston up 99-93, and it never got under four the rest of the way.

"Kind of like the story of the year," said Hawes. "We battle back, but it takes so much energy to get back into games."

Game Notes

Avery Bradley scored 12 of his 14 points in the first quarter for the Celtics. Jerryd Bayless added 11 off the bench ... Evan Turner had 12 points, while Michael Carter-Williams and Anderson scored 11 each for the Sixers ... Philly outscored Boston 58-46 in the paint ... Both teams had 27 assists.
