Recap: Memphis vs. Phoenix

Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Conley scored 18 points and handed out 14 assists to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 110-91 win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

Jon Leuer added 23 points and nine rebounds and Ed Davis finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who have won two of their last three games.

Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph missed his second straight game due to a toe injury.

"We know with Marc (Gasol) and Zach out, obviously it's going to be a tough loss for us," said Leuer. "Those are two guys that are a huge part of this team. When they go down, everybody else has to step up. That's what we were able to do tonight."

Marcus Morris netted a team-high 18 points and Goran Dragic added 16 points and five assists for the Suns, who have dropped two straight.

Miles Plumlee's layup just under two minutes into the second half put Phoenix up 58-48. Memphis, though, followed with a 21-5 run, capped by an acrobatic slam from Davis to take a 69-63 lead with 5:40 remaining in the third quarter.

The Suns managed to pull within 76-72 after Gerald Green nailed a 3-pointer at the 1:24 mark, but it would be as close as Phoenix would get the rest of the way.

The Grizzlies led by as many as 21 late in the fourth quarter.

Memphis led 23-19 after the first quarter. The Suns shot 63.6 percent (14- for-22) from the field in the second to take a 54-46 lead into the break.

"The second half was terrible. We have to be able to fight over screens. We have to get after it," said Suns coach Jeff Hornacek. "We let their guy just shove you in the back. If we have no more fight then that, what else can you do? They scored 65 in the second half. You're not going to beat anybody when you give up 65 points in a half."

Game Notes

Memphis shot 54.8 percent (46-for-84) from the field ... The Grizzlies outscored the Suns by a 56-36 margin in the paint ... Plumlee finished with 11 points and eight rebounds for the Suns.
