Recap: Philadelphia vs. Cleveland

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Evan Turner scored 22 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 94-79 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.

Tony Wroten contributed a career-high 18 points off the bench for the Sixers, who snapped a two-game losing skid. Thaddeus Young had 16 points and James Anderson and Michael Carter-Williams both netted 11 points, with Carter- Williams also going for nine rebounds and six assists.

"It's a great feeling," said Wroten. "All the hard work paid off. Just being able to get the opportunity here, being able to play a lot. It's a blessing."

Tristan Thompson scored 13 points and collected 16 rebounds -- nine offensive -- for the Cavaliers. Center Andrew Bynum play nearly 18 minutes and scored four points with five rebounds to a chorus of boos from the Philadelphia crowd.

"This was just another game to me," said Bynum. "I just went out and played."

Bynum sat out the entire 2012-13 season with knee problems after joining the Sixers in a four-team swap. The 7-footer rehabbed and signed a two-year deal with Cleveland this past offseason.

Dion Waiters paced the Cavs with 18 points, and Jarrett Jack and C.J. Miles had 13 points apiece.

Bynum checked in with 3:38 left in the first quarter and immediately heard it from the home crowd. Meanwhile, the Cavs finished the frame on an 8-0 run, including six in a row from Miles.

The Sixers slowly cut into their deficit and late in the second half, Hawes' block of Thompson led to a run out and Young alley-oop from Turner to inject some energy into the Wells Fargo Center. Turner scored on a turnaround jumper in the paint moments later, and the Sixers went ahead with 2:03 left in the half on a Carter-Williams 3.

"I thought there was a stretch after the first quarter when we didn't show any fight," said Cleveland head coach Mike Brown. "Mentally, I don't think we know how hard it is to win ball games, especially on the road."

The Sixers held a 44-42 halftime edge.

Philadelphia's strong play carried over into the second half. It opened the half with a Young jumper and Hawes 3-pointer and held the lead throughout before going on a 15-4 surge late in the period.

Turner got things started with a mid-range jumper before Wroten came up with a steal and emphatic finish at the other end. Wroten's triple with 1:07 left in the third gave Philly a 75-59 lead, and it led by double figures the rest of the way.
