Recap: Atlanta vs. Orlando

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeff Teague had 19 points with 13 assists, while Paul Millsap added 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Atlanta Hawks held off the Orlando Magic, 104-94, at Philips Arena.

In a game of runs, Atlanta used an 10-0 spurt in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter to capture its second home win in as many tries.

Arron Afflalo had a game-high 21 points for the Magic in the loss.

With 3:50 left in the game, Afflalo hit a 3-pointer to put the Magic ahead by one, 88-87.

Atlanta pulled away after that when Al Horford scored back-to-back buckets and Kyle Korver hit a transition three from the wing. Teague capped the run with a driving layup, then hit a pull-up jumper in the lane that pushed the lead back to double-digits at 99-89 with 1:16 left.

"It was a good play," said Korver when speaking of his 3-pointer. "It's a game of runs. You always want to have the last run. So tonight we did."

The lead was as much as eight for the Hawks in the first half with Orlando keeping it close and even leading late in the second stanza.

The home team came roaring out of the gate to begin the second half when they converted on eight of ten field goal attempts to go on a 18-2 run and take a commanding 64-47 lead.

"Basketball is a game of runs. They went on their run, it was 18-2 to start the 3rd quarter, and we actually got back into it, and then they made another one and we couldn't get back into it," said Magic forward Maurice Harkless.

DeMarre Carroll had 10 of his 12 points during the run with two 3-pointers and a highlight reel reverse dunk to cap the scoring.

Jameer Nelson ignited a 15-2 run for Orlando with 6:45 left in the third with a 3-pointer and second-year man Kyle O'Quinn scored two baskets in a row to pull the Magic within four, 66-62

Andrew Nicholson hit a jump-hook with 42 seconds left and the Magic fought back from as many as 17 in the quarter to take a 71-70.

The Hawks stretched the lead to eight in the opening minutes of the final quarter but the Magic hung around, inching their way back into the game. Nelson hit a 3-pointer with 5:38 to trail 85-84.

Korver came right down and hit a jumper to extend the lead back to three right before the Afflolo three that gave them the Magic the short lead.

Nelson and Nicholson finished with 13 points a piece for Orlando.

Horford had 15 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in the win.
