Recap: Cleveland vs. Orlando

Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyrie Irving scored 22 points with seven assists and seven rebounds to help the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 101-93 win over the Orlando Magic at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday.

Luol Deng tallied 17 points, Tyler Zeller chipped in 16, and Tristan Thompson had 16 points with 14 rebounds in the Cavs' sixth straight win both overall and against Orlando.

The overall streak is Cleveland's longest since an eight-game run from March 8-24, 2010, when LeBron James roamed the sidelines for the Cavs.

Arron Afflalo paced the struggling Magic with 23 points, while Nikola Vucevic deposited a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double. Orlando has now lost 14 straight games on the road and three straight overall.

The club is two games shy of the franchise record road losing skid which was set from Jan. 27-March 21, 2006.

Cleveland led by 21 early in the third quarter when Harris made back-to-back 3-pointers to jumpstart a 25-8 run and cut the deficit to four heading into the fourth quarter.

Victor Oladipo netted the first points of the final frame to cut the deficit in half, but Cleveland responded with a quick 7-2 run to push the margin to 79-72 with just under nine minutes left.

The Cavs kept Orlando at arm's length when Afflalo capped an 8-2 run with a three-point play to pull the Magic within two, 89-87, with 2:07 remaining.

Zeller followed with a three-point play to make it a five-point spread with under two to play.

The Cleveland lead remained five when some crisp ball movement helped seal it, as the ball whipped around the arc with Irving zipping it to a wide-open Deng, who buried a 3 with 35.9 seconds left.

"We're a little more comfortable with what we're doing down the stretch," Cavs head coach Mike Brown said.

Earlier, Irving scored 10 consecutive points for Cleveland as the Cavs opened the first quarter on a 15-2 burst.

Vucevic tipped in a Glen Davis miss 4:25 into the game to open the scoring for Orlando, and the next basket didn't come for another 2:37 when Kyle O'Quinn made a jumper.

"We came out slow and sloppy," Vucevic said.

Cleveland's lead swelled to 18, 24-6, following a Thompson dunk with 1 1/2 minutes left in the first and the Cavs led 26-11 heading into the second.

Orlando shot 3-for-21 from the floor in the first quarter, including 1-for-6 from beyond the arc.

Late in the second, Irving followed a trey from Jarrett Jack with a 3-pointer of his own to give the Cavs a 55-36 lead at halftime.
