Recap: LA Clippers vs. New Orleans

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - DeAndre Jordan had 14 points and 20 rebounds, Blake Griffin added 21 points and 10 boards and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 108-95 on Wednesday night.

"We played pretty flat but DeAndre Jordan just singlehandidly kept us in with his defense, his rebounding and everything else," Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said.

Jared Dudley added 20 points and Chris Paul finished with 12 points and 11 assists for the Clippers, who have won three in a row and five of their last six.

Anthony Davis returned from a seven-game absence due to a broken left hand and tallied 24 points and 12 rebounds for New Orleans, which has dropped three in a row.

Davis, who had been expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks, came back in just under three. He was not in the starting lineup but still played 32 minutes.

Tyreke Evans had a triple-double with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in defeat.

"We made a number of poor decisions, we're getting open shots, it's disheartening seeing that ball go in and out," Pelicans head coach Monty Williams said.

An Al-Farouq Aminu dunk pulled the Pelicans within 55-51 early in the third before the Clippers responded with a 15-2 run to seize control of the contest. Griffin netted six points during the surge, including a driving dunk to cap it and extend the LA margin to 70-53 midway through the frame.

The Clippers took a 78-65 spread into the fourth, where they cruised to the easy win.

LA led 27-22 after a quarter of play and 52-45 at the break.
