Recap: Dallas vs. Golden State

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Stephen Curry's stepback jumper with 0.1 seconds left in overtime lifted the Golden State Warriors to a 122-120 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

Jose Calderon nailed a 3-pointer to give the Mavs a 120-118 cushion with 42.9 seconds left in the extra session and Jermaine O'Neal answered at the other end with a slam to tie it up.

O'Neal then came up with a block on the defensive side of the floor when Monta Ellis drove the lane with 13.9 seconds left.

Curry brought the ball up the floor on the ensuing possession, shook Calderon and buried his third career game-winning jumper.

"It is not the first time he has made that," Calderon said of Curry. "He has been hitting those shots, he's a great player."

Curry finished with 23 points and 10 assists, while fellow backcourt mate Klay Thompson poured in a team-high 27 points in the win. O'Neal had 20 points with eight rebounds for Golden State, which played without big men David Lee and Andrew Bogut.

Lee missed his third straight game with a strained hamstring and Bogut missed his second straight tilt with a bruised groin/pelvis.

The Warriors, however, didn't miss their men in the middle after outscoring the Mavs, 62-50, in the paint.

"Great win," said Warriors coach Mark Jackson. "Absolutely incredible win for us. This is a big time win and guys really stepped up and made plays."

Dirk Nowitzki deposited a game-high 33 points with 11 rebounds and Ellis netted 27 points in the setback.

Dallas dropped a half-game game to ninth in the Western Conference standings behind Phoenix and Memphis.

The Warriors led 30-21 after one quarter, but were outscored 41-23 in the second to trail by nine at the break.

Dallas led 51-49 with just under three minutes left in the second when Nowitzki ended the first half on a personal 11-4 run to give the Mavs a halftime edge.

Curry's 3 with 2:53 remaining in the third tied the game at 76-76. The trey started a 12-3 run that helped Golden State to an 85-81 lead heading into the fourth.

The Warriors held a four-point edge before the Mavs ripped off eight straight to take a 99-95 lead with 4 1/2 minutes left in regulation.

Andre Iguodala hit a 3 to cut the deficit to one, 106-105, at 1:35 and Thompson's triple 34 seconds later knotted it up at 108-108.

Each team had a couple of chances to win it in the final minute but extra time was needed.

A Nowitzki trey less than two minutes into the extra session staked the Mavs to a four-point spread. Curry then hit a jumper after a Thompson 3 to give the Warriors a 118-117 lead and set up the final minute heroics.
