Recap: Philadelphia vs. Boston

Newark, DE ( - Thaddeus Young had 20 points and six rebounds and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics 97-85 Friday in a preseason game.

Spencer Hawes added 17 points and seven boards and Evan Turner tallied 12 points and nine rebounds for Philadelphia, which moved to 2-1 in the preseason.

Jared Sullinger had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the Celtics, who dropped to 0-3 in the preseason under new coach Brad Stevens.

The game was played at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center.
