Recap: Brooklyn vs. Miami

Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brook Lopez led a balanced Brooklyn scoring attack with 14 points, as the Nets notched an 86-62 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday in preseason action from Barclays Center.

Alan Anderson added 12 points, while Joe Johnson and Andray Blatche chipped in 10 points apiece for the Nets, who improved to 4-1 in the preseason.

LeBron James and Chris Bosh each poured in 16 points to lead the Heat, who dropped to 3-2 in the preseason.

Brooklyn used a 12-0 surge that spanned the first and second quarters to build a 30-16 advantage early in the second stanza.

The margin reached 44-28 at halftime, allowing the Nets to cruise to victory in the second half.

Brooklyn retired first-year head coach Jason Kidd's No. 5 to the Barclays Center rafters in a pre-game ceremony.
