Recap: Houston vs. San Antonio

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - James Harden scored 25 points and the Houston Rockets took down the San Antonio Spurs 96-87 in Friday's preseason finale.

Isaiah Canaan hit 5-of-6 from behind the arc en route to 18 points off the bench for Houston, which opens the regular season against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angles Lakers on Oct. 28.

Marco Belinelli led the defending champs with 19 points, Tony Parker dished out 10 assists and Tim Duncan contributed an 11-point, 10-rebound double- double in the setback. The Spurs begin their title defense against the Mavericks also on Oct. 28.
