Recap: Sacramento vs. LA Clippers

Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Blake Griffin netted 30 points to go with five rebounds and five assists and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Sacramento Kings 117-108 on Saturday night.

Matt Barnes had 26 points and 10 rebounds, J.J. Redick provided 18 points and Chris Paul added 12 points and nine assists for the Clippers, who have won four of their last six games.

Jason Thompson posted 23 points and 22 boards, while Rudy Gay supplied 22 points off the bench for Sacramento, which has dropped three straight and four of its last five contests.

"It was good to get into a rhythm," Thompson said of his rebounding.

The game was tied 64-64 midway through the third quarter before the Clippers seized control with an 11-0 run. Paul jumpstarted the surge with a pair of free throws and capped it with a jumper for a 75-64 Clippers cushion late in the third.

Tyreke Evans' layup in the waning seconds of the period clawed Sacramento within 83-78 after three.

Los Angeles, though, scored eight of the first nine points of the fourth to pull away for good. Spencer Hawes knocked down a jumper to up the Clippers' advantage to 91-79 and the Kings never cut the deficit below five the rest of the way.

Earlier, the game was tied 28-28 following a quarter of play and 52-52 at the break.

Game Notes

LA has won two straight road games on the heels of a five-game losing streak ... Sacramento has dropped four consecutive and six of its last seven home meetings against the Clippers ... Los Angeles turned the ball over just five times.
