Recap: Utah vs. LA Lakers

Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Lakers rallied to end the longest road losing streak in franchise history.

Jordan Clarkson scored 22 points and the Lakers came back from 13 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the Utah Jazz 100-97 and snap their 11-game road skid.

It marked the Lakers' first win away from Staples Center since Dec. 30 against Denver.

It was their second win in a row overall after a 118-111 victory over Boston on Sunday, which snapped a seven-game losing streak.

"We're not going to quit and pack it in," Lakers coach Byron Scott said of his team. "That's not me. And I'm glad it's not them. We keep trying to get better each game. We make a ton of mistakes at times, but it's not because of a lack of effort."

Jordan Hill added 16 points off the bench and Wayne Ellington had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers, who are 3-16 in their last 19. Carlos Boozer chipped in 14 points and Ed Davis scored 12.

The Jazz led 82-69 on Elijah Millsap's layup in the first minute of the fourth quarter, but Ellington led an 11-3 run that started the Lakers comeback.

Later, a 10-0 run sparked by six consecutive points by Davis gave Los Angeles the lead for good at 90-88 with four minutes remaining. It stayed tight, but Utah was never able to tie the score.

The Jazz, trying to win three consecutive games for the first time this season, shot under 28 percent in the quarter. Derrick Favors kept them in the building, scoring seven points for the period.

He made a layup off an inbounds pass and hit the ensuing free throw to get Utah within 99-98, but Robert Sacre made two foul shots at the other end for the Lakers and Gordon Hayward failed to get off a deep 3 in time for the Jazz.

"They were aggressive on their pick-and-roll defense and we just didn't react," said Jazz coach Quin Snyder. "We had a couple opportunities to make plays and we didn't, but that clearly fueled their offense. They played well and they were loose. We had stretches where we played well, but just didn't maintain that level."

Hayward led Utah with 20 points and Favors scored 18. Millsap added 17 off the bench and Rudy Gobert had 16 points and 14 rebounds.

The Jazz led 29-21 after the first quarter and 51-45 at halftime.
