Recap: Sacramento vs. Washington

Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Rudy Gay supplied 26 points with five rebounds in the Sacramento Kings' 109-86 win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday.

DeMarcus Cousins recorded 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Sacramento, which has won five straight at home against the Wizards.

The Kings' starting backcourt of Ben McLemore and Ray McCallum combined to score 30 points, with McLemore's 17 leading the duo.

"I wasn't expecting an easy win, but we got one, so credit to them," said Kings coach George Karl. "I think that is the best game we have played since I have been here."

Bradley Beal scored a team-high 19 points for Washington, while Nene added 11 points and six rebounds in defeat.

The Wizards have lost two straight on the heels of a five-game winning streak.

"If we don't come out with any more focus on the defensive end the way we did the last two games we don't have a chance," Wizards coach Randy Wittman said.

Derrick Williams converted a three-point play off an alley-oop slam that capped a 9-1 run for a 28-21 Kings lead late in the first.

Sacramento led by five after the first quarter and it pushed that margin to 57-50 at halftime.

The Kings came firing out of the locker room to the tune of an 18-6 burst. Cousins and Gay each had five points during the surge that Omri Casspi closed with two free throws for a 75-56 lead.

McLemore's alley-oop dunk made it a 20-point spread after three quarters and Sacramento cruised to the finish line in the fourth.
