Recap: LA Lakers vs. Philadelphia

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeremy Lin scored a season-high 29 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 101-87 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.

Jordan Hill tallied 12 points with eight rebounds, while Wesley Johnson and Wayne Ellington each posted 10 points for Los Angeles.

Philadelphia, which was seeking a season-high third straight win, was led by Thomas Robinson's 14-point, eight-rebound effort.

"Give the Lakers credit. Their defense and length hurt us," 76ers head coach Brett Brown said. "We got selfish in the second half and didn't move the ball like we did in the first."

The Sixers, who dropped their 15th straight road game, only made one basket over the first half of the fourth quarter as Los Angeles took control of the contest. Over the first 6:06, Lin led a 14-2 run by scoring eight points to help the Lakers extend their lead to 88-77.

"I think this was one of my best games here," said Lin. "Everything came together tonight. In the second half we came out with more defensive pressure. We needed this win."

Philadelphia was outscored 27-12 in the final stanza as Los Angeles snapped its four-game skid.

The Sixers got off to a slow start on the offensive end, but a 7-2 run to close the first quarter gave them a 20-18 lead after 12 minutes.

Philadelphia opened the second quarter on an 8-0 run, as Robert Covington and Jerami Grant each hit a 3-pointer before Robinson's jumper made it 28-18.

Lin canned a pair of 3s moments later to bring the Lakers within four, but the Sixers would push their advantage to 47-41 at halftime.

Los Angeles started the second half on a 10-1 run to regain the lead. Ish Smith followed with five straight points for the Sixers to help them to a 53-51 edge.

The game was tight the rest of the third with Philadelphia taking a slim 75-74 edge into the fourth.
