Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Philadelphia 76ers center Andrew Bynum told reporters on Friday that he has suffered another setback in his recovery from knee surgery, leaving doubt whether or not he'll be able to play at all this season.

Bynum participated in practice last week, however felt some discomfort in his right knee during the session and it has remained swollen ever since.

Ever since arriving in Philadelphia, he has remained steadfast in his belief of being able to play this season, but hinted on Friday that may no longer be the case.

"It's getting late. I don't know [about playing this season]," Bynum told reporters. "I don't want to play in pain. ... I'm 25; it's my life."

As part of a four-team trade, the 76ers shipped out former guard Andre Iguodala as well as rookie Moe Harkless and second-year player Nikola Vucevic over the off-season to bring Bynum to Philadelphia. However, they have seen none of the benefits since making the deal.

The Sixers currently sit outside the playoff picture at 22-34 and are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak, and with Bynum in the final year of his contract before becoming a free agent this summer, Philadelphia may have to deal with the prospect of him never suiting up for the team.

The seven-year pro had spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers prior to getting traded. Last season, he boasted career-bests in averaging 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game over 60 contests.
