New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Atlanta Hawks rookie guard Dennis Schroder has been suspended one game by the National Basketball Association for striking Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins in the groin on Tuesday.

The incident occurred early in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's 105-100 win when Schroder tried to fight through a screen and struck Cousins below the belt.

Schroder will serve his suspension Thursday when the Hawks visit the Denver Nuggets.
