Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors acquired veteran point guard Sebastian Telfair from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for reserve center Hamed Haddadi just prior to Thursday's trade deadline.

Telfair has averaged 6.0 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds over 46 games this season, his second with the Suns. Over nine NBA campaigns with six different teams, the 27-year-old journeyman has averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 assists and 1.6 rebounds.

The former first-round pick, who will be an unrestricted free agent at season's end, has also played for Portland, Boston, Minnesota, the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland in addition to the Suns.

Haddadi began the season with Memphis before being shipped to Toronto on Jan. 30 as part of the deal that sent standout forward Rudy Gay from the Grizzlies to the Raptors. The fifth-year pro did not appear in any games with Toronto following the swap.

The Iran native has averaged 2.0 points and 2.1 rebounds over 134 career NBA games.
