Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Cardinals have placed Rich Ohrnberger on injured reserve after the center suffered a knee injury during Sunday's humiliating 58-0 loss in Seattle.

Ohrnberger was forced into the starting lineup when Lyle Sendlein went down with an injury in Week 12. Rookie Scott Wedige will take over in the middle against the Lions next Sunday.

The Cardinals also have a new quarterback in the fold after acquiring Brian Hoyer off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Michigan State product did not play for the Steelers this year after seeing action in 13 games with the Patriots the past three seasons.

Hoyer has totaled 286 yards with one touchdown and one interception on 27- of-43 attempts in this brief NFL career.

In another roster move, Arizona released wide receiver Isaiah Williams from the practice squad-injured reserve list.
