(Sports Network) - Andy Reid is very close to becoming the next coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

Multiple reports surfaced Tuesday that Reid will be named the next head coach of the Cardinals by the end of the week. The news comes just one day after Reid's memorable 14-year tenure in Philadelphia came to an end.

KTVK-TV in Phoenix reported that the deal to hire the former Eagles head coach is "all but done."

However, the Cardinals have yet to set up an interview with Reid. Meanwhile, Arizona interviewed defensive coordinator Ray Horton Tuesday for the head coaching spot and has scheduled an interview with Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy for Saturday in Denver.

On Monday, Arizona fired former head coach Ken Whisenhunt along with general manager Rod Graves.

Arizona started off the season with four consecutive wins, but then lost nine straight and finished off the season with just a 5-11 mark as the team missed the playoffs for a third straight year.

Reid, the winningest coach in Philadelphia history, went 130-93-1 in the regular season along with a 10-9 mark in the playoffs over his tenure with the Eagles, which began in 1999.

Under Reid, the Eagles made nine playoff appearances, played in five NFC Championship Games and lost to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX. The Eagles, though, missed the playoffs the past two years following two straight years of first-round losses.

If Reid joined the Cardinals he would reunite with Kevin Kolb. The Eagles traded the quarterback to Arizona in July 2011 for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick.

Kolb has seen limited playing time in his two seasons in Arizona due to injuries.
