Berea, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Browns made another move to bolster their defense, agreeing on a two-year contract with linebacker Quentin Groves on Wednesday.

Groves departs from Arizona, where he spent the 2012 season and set career- highs with 45 tackles and four sacks. The former second-round draft pick appeared in all 16 contests for the Cardinals, making seven starts.

"Quentin is a solid player who will be another good addition to our front seven," said Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski. "He showed pass rush ability last season, working in a 3-4 defense for the first time. Having played for (defensive coordinator) Ray (Horton) last year, he is familiar with our scheme, and that will allow him to make a smooth transition. He also has been a productive special teams player and can help us in that area as well."

Originally selected by the Jaguars in 2008, Groves played two seasons in Jacksonville before spending the 2010-11 seasons with the Oakland Raiders.

Over the course of his career, the former Auburn product has registered 152 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks in 79 games.
