New York, NY (Sports Network) - New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Denver Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard and Miami Dolphins defensive end Olivier Vernon were named the AFC Players of the Week for Week 8.

Brady threw for 304 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in a 45-7 rout of the St. Louis Rams in London, England, during the NFL's International Series on Sunday to earn the offensive award. He became the fourth player in NFL history with 50 career games with at least three touchdown passes.

It is Brady's 22nd career weekly award, tying him with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning for the most all-time.

Woodyard received defensive honors by recording 13 tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble in Denver's 34-14 victory over the New Orleans Saints. He is the first player since 2007 to have double-digit tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble in the same game.

Vernon recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown and also blocked a field-goal attempt in the Dolphins' 30-9 win over the New York Jets to take home the special teams award.
