Green Bay, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley left Sunday's meeting with the Browns on a stretcher in the third quarter after taking a hard shot to the head from Cleveland safety Tashuan Gipson.
Finley made a 10-yard grab over the middle late in the third quarter and lowered his head as he was taken to the ground. Gipson came in to finish the tackle and caught Finley flush in the helmet with his helmet.
Finley remained motionless on the turf while the training staff attended to him, as players from both teams knelt around the Green Bay tight end, who was then taken off the field on a stretcher.
Finley could be seen lifting his arm on his way toward the locker room and preliminary reports stated that he suffered a neck injury but did have movement in all his extremities.
The 26-year-old veteran had five catches for 72 yards and a touchdown prior to the injury.
