Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars placed quarterback Blaine Gabbert on injured reserve Wednesday.

Gabbert suffered injuries to his right forearm and left shoulder early in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans after he was hit by Houston's Danieal Manning.

He did not return to the game and was replaced by Chad Henne, who completed 16-of-33 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns in relief.

Henne is expected to start the remainder of the season. He had a 13-18 record as a starter with the Miami Dolphins over the last four seasons while throwing for 7,114 yards with 31 touchdowns and 37 interceptions on 60.7 percent efficiency.

The 10th overall selection in the 2011 draft, Gabbert completed 58.3 percent of his passes for 1,662 yards with nine TDs and six interceptions through 10 games this season.

Jacksonville also placed wide receiver Laurent Robinson on injured reserve with a concussion and signed quarterback Jordan Palmer and wide receiver Carlton Mitchell on Wednesday.
