East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Giants have reached an agreement with veteran kicker Josh Brown, the team announced Wednesday.

Brown comes to the Giants after a solid five-game showing for the Cincinnati Bengals last year, during which the 33-year-old went 11-of-12 on field goal attempts during the regular season and kicked two more in the team's loss to Houston in the AFC Wild Card Playoffs.

The 10-year pro, who was signed by Cincinnati in December as an injury replacement for Mike Nugent, has made 231 field goals and hit on 81.3 percent of his three-point attempts for his career. Brown spent his first five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before a four-year stint with the St. Louis Rams from 2008-11.

Brown tied for the NFL lead with 33 successful field goals while with the Rams in 2010.

With Brown now in the fold, the Giants are expected to move on from Lawrence Tynes, the club's kicker over the past six seasons who is currently an unrestricted free agent.

The Giants also signed onetime Dallas Cowboy David Buehler earlier this offseason and have first-year candidate Jake Rogers on the roster as well.
