Wannstedt among Bucs' new assistants

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Former Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears head coach Dave Wannstedt was among five assistant coaches named to Greg Schiano's staff with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Wannstedt, who spent the past two seasons as an assistant with the Buffalo Bills, will join the Bucs as special teams coordinator. He was the head coach in Chicago from 1993-98 and Miami from 2000-04, posting a combined record of 82-87.

The veteran coach was also the defensive coordinator for Dallas Cowboys under Jimmy Johnson, helping the storied franchise to the Super Bowl title after the 1992 season.

Prior to joining the Bills in 2011, Wannstedt served as head coach at the University of Pittsburgh for six seasons.

Schiano also named John McNulty as quarterbacks coach, John Garrett as wide receivers coach, Tony Oden as secondary coach and Robb Smith as linebackers coach.
