Recap: Philadelphia vs. NY Jets

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Trent Edwards threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns, as the Philadelphia Eagles capped a perfect exhibition slate with a 28-10 victory over the New York Jets.

Edwards completed 22-of-32 passes for the Eagles, who went 4-0 in the preseason for the first time since 1995. Rookie Nick Foles connected on 4-of-6 passes for 46 yards to finish off an impressive preseason.

Rookie running backs Chris Polk and Bryce Brown each scored a touchdown on the ground for Philadelphia, which opens the regular season on Sept. 9 against the Cleveland Browns. Mardy Gilyard caught five passes for 71 yards and a score.

Greg McElroy completed 12-of-17 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown for the Jets, who went 0-4 in the preseason for the first time since 1993. McElroy also carried the ball five times for 33 yards.

Terrance Ganaway's TD catch in the second quarter was New York's first and only offensive touchdown of the preseason.

The Jets open the season against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 9.
