Recap: Seattle vs. St. Louis

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Russell Wilson added to his case for NFL Rookie of the Year, completing 15-of-19 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for the game-winning score to lift the Seattle Seahawks to a 20-13 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Wilson's touchdown pass tied Peyton Manning's rookie record for passing touchdowns in a season with 26.

Marshawn Lynch carried the ball 18 times for 100 yards, Golden Tate caught three passes for 105 yards and Michael Robinson hauled in three passes for 33 yards and score for the Seahawks (11-5), who locked up the NFC's fifth seed in the upcoming playoffs. Seattle will visit the NFC East champion Washington Redskins in the Wild Card round on Sunday.

"To go into the playoffs with a game like that when it comes down to the fourth quarter, the last drive of the game and finish like that, that's great," Wilson said. "I wouldn't call it a wakeup call, I think we were ready to play, but I think it was great for us going into the playoffs."

The Seahawks won 11 games for the first time since going 13-3 in 2005.

Sam Bradford was 25-for-42 passing for 252 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Rams (7-8-1), who haven't made the playoffs since 2004.

"I don't think many people thought this game would be close, except us," Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. "I'm very, very proud of the professional approach that the guys took."

With the game tied at 13-13 and 5:11 left, Wilson guided the Seahawks 90 yards down the field in 10 plays, capped off with his 1-yard touchdown rush. Earlier in the drive, Wilson connected with Tate down the right sideline for a 44-yard gain, and three plays later scampered 15 yards down to the Rams' 4.

Lynch took the handoff around the left end, and looked as if he got to the pylon before going out of bounds, but an official review showed that he had stepped out of bounds before reaching the goal line.

Wilson scrambled to his left on the next play and ran across the goal line untouched.

The Rams took over with 1:39 remaining at their own 20 and a 25-yard pass interference call put the ball on the St. Louis 45. A 15-yard completion to Lance Kendricks then moved the Rams into Seattle territory.

Faced with a 4th-and-5 and just under a minute left, Bradford ran to his left and picked up the first down, but four plays later the former Heisman Trophy winner threw an interception to Richard Sherman, who won his appeal for violating the NFL's PED rules earlier in the week.

Steven Hauschka's 43-yard field goal put Seattle up 3-0 early in the second.

The Rams responded with an eight-play, 76-yard touchdown drive, capped off with Bradford's 2-yard pass to Austin Pettis. The pass was tipped but Pettis made a diving catch in the end zone to give St. Louis a 7-3 lead.

Hauschka booted a 49-yarder early in the third quarter to pull the Seahawks within 7-6, but Greg Zuerlein's 39-yarder five minutes later pushed the Rams' spread to 10-6.

Seattle countered with a 10-yard Wilson touchdown pass to Robinson to take a 13-10 lead.

The Seahawks then attempted an onside kick, but Kam Chancellor caught the ball before allowing it to travel 10 yards and the Rams took over at their own 41.

St. Louis drove down to the Seattle 4-yard line, but a delay of game penalty pushed them back to the 9. Jackson was able to pick up seven yards on 3rd- and-9, but it wasn't enough and the Rams were forced to settle for a 25-yard Zuerlein field goal to tie the game at 13-13.
