Landover, MD (Sports Network) - Roy Helu rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns as the Washington Redskins steamrolled the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-3, in the preseason finale for both teams.

Evan Royster added 44 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and Kirk Cousins went 15-for-27 through the air for 222 yards for the Redskins, who open the regular season with the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 9.

Brett Ratliff was 14-for-30 for 164 yards and three interceptions and Tiquan Underwood caught six passes for 82 yards for the Bucs, who play host to the Carolina Panthers in Week 1.

Billy Cundiff, signed by the Redskins on Tuesday, nailed a pair of field goals in the first quarter from 39 yards and 27 yards out.

The Redskins found the end zone in the second quarter to go up 13-0. Cousins connected with Anthony Armstrong for 46 yards to put Washington on Tampa Bay's 14. Royster took one around the right end for 13 yards before breaking the goal line on the next play.

Cundiff's 22-yarder as time expired in the first half put Washington ahead 16-0.

Cousins was intercepted by Sean Baker in the third quarter, but Washington got it right back when Richard Crawford picked off Ratliff. Cousins found Brandon Banks streaking down the sideline for 47 yards, and Helu found the end zone on the next play with a 15-yard touchdown run.

Tampa Bay finally got on the board with 6:52 remaining in the third when Kai Forbath sent one through the uprights from 43 yards out.

The Redskins answered right back as Helu ran one in from the six yards out to go up 30-3.
