Recap: Dallas vs. Miami

Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - Lance Dunbar ran for 105 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, as the Dallas Cowboys' reserves beat the Miami Dolphins, 30-13, in the final tuneup for the regular season.

With most of the Cowboys' starters sitting out, Phillip Tanner took advantage of the extra playing time and scored on the ground to go along with 48 yards on nine carries.

Stephen McGee started under center and passed for 124 yards on 9-of-18 throws for Dallas, which went 3-1 in the preseason and will open the NFL's regular season schedule next Wednesday at MetLife Stadium against the Giants.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, went winless in the preseason for the first time since 1989.

Ryan Tannehill, in his final dress rehearsal before starting against the Texans on September 9, played two series and threw for 35 yards on 5-of-7 passes.

Matt Moore was not much better in relief, completing just 4-of-12 attempts for 49 yards and an interception, which was taken back 26 yards for a touchdown by Orie Lemon in the second quarter.

Miami's Dan Carpenter kicked a pair of field goals in the opening quarter, but Dallas scored the next 27 points -- 20 coming in the second quarter.

Dan Bailey made two field goals and Tanner ran in a one-yard score in the second, and Dunbar rumbled for a 58-yard TD in the third.

Lamar Miller was one of the few bright spots for the Dolphins, amassing 60 yards and 17 carries while scoring on a one-yard plunge late in the third.

Bailey kicked a 26-yarder in the fourth to account for the final score.
