Recap: Indianapolis vs. Tennessee

Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Donald Brown's late fourth-quarter touchdown run and five field goals from Adam Vinatieri sent the Indianapolis Colts to a 22-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Andrew Luck finished 17-of-32 for 200 yards and one interception for the Colts (8-4), who rebounded nicely from a 40-11 loss in Arizona last week to win their fourth game in the last six.

Brown racked up 54 yards on 14 carries, while T.Y. Hilton posted 46 yards on five catches.

"Proud of our players today. This group of men found a way to get the job done coming off a disappointing loss," said Colts head coach Chuck Pagano.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was picked off three times, throwing for 201 yards and one score on 21-of-37 efficiency. He also contributed a one-yard TD run for the Titans (5-7), who have dropped three out of four.

Chris Johnson totaled 69 yards on 18 carries and 32 yards with a touchdown on six receptions.

Brown rushed up the middle for a 4-yard touchdown and Indianapolis led 22-14, on the snap following the two-minute warning. The hosts began the deciding drive at their own 8-yard line and worked more than six minutes off the clock.

Luck kept the drive alive with a 24-yard scramble on 3rd-and-2 from his own 43, then Coby Fleener's catch on 2nd-and-17 got the Colts inside the Titans' 5-yard line immediately preceding the score.

"It's real easy for quarterbacks to go through what he did in the first three quarters from a frustration standpoint, but he's got an uncanny ability to block all that out," Pagano said of Luck. "He found a way to will this team to victory."

Wright's 44-yard catch-and-run on first down put Tennessee into enemy territory, but the drive sputtered, and Jerrell Freeman stepped in front of a pass intended for Wright on 3rd-and-4.

"I didn't see him. They did a great job in terms of tight coverage on all our guys," Fitzpatrick said of the Colts' secondary. "I didn't get open enough on the throw."

Luck took a knee and ran off the remaining seconds.

Indy picked up the game's first points as Vinatieri capped the hosts' second touch with a 47-yard field goal. The Colts led 6-0 on their next possession after a 48-yard make from the reliable veteran.

Fitzpatrick ran in from the one early in the second quarter to put the Titans on top, but the lead was short-lived as Vinatieri converted a 45 yarder on the Colts' following series.

The hosts went into the locker room up 12-7 after a 37-yard make by Vinatieri made possible after a 20-yard completion to Hilton plus a defensive penalty for unnecessary roughness.

Fitzpatrick's jump-pass to Johnson on 4th-and-goal from the 1 midway through the third quarter gave Tennessee a 14-12 advantage, capping a methodical 80- yard march on the 14th play.

"That was exactly how the play was drawn up," quipped Fitzpatrick. "The hook shot wasn't the one I practiced but that was what needed to happen."

The Titans forced a three-and-out, then after a 33-yard punt return, set up on Indy's 32-yard line. Three plays later, Fitzpatrick was sacked by Robert Mathis, lost the ball, and Freeman returned it to the visitors' 32-yard line.

Vinatieri punctuated that brief possession on a 49 yard boot for a 15-14 game.
