Recap: Buffalo vs. Baltimore

Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - Buffalo's defense picked off Joe Flacco five times and the Bills came away with a 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

EJ Manuel completed 10-of-22 passes for 167 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for the Bills (2-2), who bounced back from last week's 27-20 loss to the New York Jets.

Fred Jackson carried the ball 16 times for 87 yards and a score for Buffalo. C.J. Spiller rushed for 77 yards on 23 carries, while Robert Woods caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.

"I'm proud of this team. We've had a lot of adversity in this program," Bills coach Doug Marrone said.

Flacco connected on 25-of-50 passes for 347 yards, two touchdowns and a career-high five interceptions for the Ravens (2-2), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

"We're definitely going to get better," Flacco said. "We have to get better. A lot of that falls on me."

Ray Rice, who sat out last week's game because of a hip flexor strain, was limited to 17 yards on five carries. Torrey Smith caught five passes for 166 yards and a score.

Trailing 23-14, Baltimore got an interception from Corey Graham. Smith caught a 74-yard pass on the first play to move the ball to the 17-yard line of the Bills. The visitors had to settle for a 35-yard Justin Tucker field goal with 7:12 left in the fourth.

After the Bills went three-and-out, the Ravens used another big passing play to move the ball down the field. Deonte Thompson's 33-yard catch combined with a personal foul put the ball at the 11-yard line. Once again, Baltimore had to settle for a field goal. Tucker's 24-yarder cut the gap to 23-20 with 4:04 remaining.

The Ravens got the ball back with 2:20 left. Flacco's final pick of the day landed in the hands of Kiko Alonso.

Bills kicker Dan Carpenter made a pair of field goals in the first quarter. On Buffalo's first possession of the game, Scott Chandler and T.J. Graham caught passes of 14 and 26 yards, respectively. The home team settled for a 27-yard Carpenter field goal.

Aaron Williams followed with an interception of Flacco. The Bills started from the Baltimore 25-yard line, but settled for another 27-yard Carpenter field goal.

Baltimore's defense came up with a big play on the first play of the second stanza. Chris Canty sacked Manuel and forced a fumble, which Brandon Williams recovered for the Ravens at the Buffalo 27-yard line. Three plays later, Marlon Brown caught a 10-yard TD pass to give the visitors a 7-6 edge.

The Bills took the lead back on Woods' 42-yard TD catch with 8:40 left until the break.

Buffalo's offense quickly got the ball back after Jim Leonhard picked off Flacco at the Baltimore 28-yard line. After Chandler caught a 14-yard pass on 3rd-and-12, Jackson rumbled into the end zone for a 16-yard score.

The Ravens had a great chance to score early in the third period. Daryl Smith picked off Manuel at the Buffalo 18-yard line. Baltimore, however, failed to capitalize as Aaron Williams intercepted Flacco's pass in the end zone.

After forcing the Bills to punt, Baltimore took over at its own 20. Smith's 22-yard catch combined with a 15-yard penalty on the Bills put the ball at the Buffalo 26-yard line. Smith caught a touchdown pass on the next play to get the Ravens within six, 20-14, with 7:17 left.

Flacco, though, threw his fourth interception of the game later in the third quarter. This time around, Alonso picked off Flacco near midfield. The Bills had to settle for a 22-yard Carpenter field goal after Woods had a 4- yard TD catch reversed. Woods was unable to get both feet down in the right corner of the end zone.
