Recap: Miami vs. New Orleans

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Pat Devlin threw for two scores and his 56-yard touchdown to Marvin McNutt lifted the Miami Dolphins over the New Orleans Saints, 24-21, in the two teams' preseason tune-up.

Devlin also threw two interceptions, completing 22-of-38 throws for 259 yards. McNutt had four catches for 99 yards on the evening, with his last catch providing the go-ahead score with just over three minutes remaining.

The Dolphins finished their preseason with a 2-3 record and will travel to Cleveland for a Week 1 showdown with the Browns.

Ryan Griffin ended 15-of-31 for 198 yards with a touchdown and interception while receiving the bulk of the snaps for the Saints, who suffered their only loss of the preseason. They will host their division rival and the reigning NFC South champion Atlanta Falcons in Week 1.

Mark Ingram rushed for 49 yards -- including an 8-yard touchdown in the first quarter -- on nine carries, Khiry Robinson ran for 115 yards on 22 touches in the setback.

Devlin came back to tie the score at 7-7, hitting Dion Sims for an 8-yard touchdown. A fumble by Ingram led to a 33-yard field goal for Caleb Sturgis, who connected on a 40-yard kick before the half and then one from 43 yards out in the third to give Miami a nine-point lead.

The Saints reduced their deficit to 16-14 early in the fourth when Tim Lelito recovered a Robinson fumble in the end zone, then jumped ahead on their next touch when Griffin completed a 2-yard touchdown to Austin Johnson, two plays after firing a 53-yard pass.

Miami got the ball back with 3:51 to go in the game, and on fourth down, Devlin hooked up with McNutt for the 56-yard go-ahead score. Devlin then converted the two-point conversion and Griffin was intercepted on the Saints' last drive.
